Beach Zandvoort | Dogs and Watersport

Beach Zandvoort - The second beach resort of The Netherlands.

Nowadays Zandvoort is the second beach resort of the Netherlands, located right on the coast with a nine kilometers long beach with a width of one hundred meters. On the north side Zandvoort is adjacent to Bloemendaal and on the south side to Noordwijk. The boulevard is almost six kilometers long and is the perfect place for comfortable strolling. The pride of the village is of course the beach.

Beach clubs

Everywhere on the beach you can stake out a spot on the sand for free but why not enjoy the comfort of our beach clubs. These are wooden pavilions that run along the shore with enclosed restaurants, outdoor patios, and rows of chaises longues for sunbathing. These beach clubs open early each morning, close at midnight, and are in service from March until September.

However Zandvoort does have a few beach clubs that are open all year. Each beach club offers a distinct personality and food (from breakfast to diner) with themes ranging. Nudist Beach The unclothed head to one of the 6 nudist beach clubs on the “Naaktstrand”, about 20 minutes walk south of the main beach (to the left when facing the water).

Blue Flag

Since May 2004 the Blue Flag flies again at Zandvoort. This flag is the symbol for clean and safe beaches. Zandvoort has to meet a large number of criteria. These include the quality of bathing water, good facilities, the presence of first-aid post, rescue equipment and facilities for the disabled.

Watersport Zandvoort

Offers a lot of facilities for water sports as well. From wake boarders to kite surfers. You can safely kite surf in Zandvoort. On the beach there are three places where you can officially rent and sail; Beach Club “Riche” and “The Spot” both on North.

The Zandvoort Rescue Squad.
