Children in and around Zandvoort

Zandvoort is well known for its family facilities. It is not surprising therefore that there are plenty of activities for kids. The beach is obviously the place to be, especially with nice weather. But when the weather is not so nice, they can enjoy themselves at a lot of places in and around Zandvoort.  The dunes will give them the opportunity to explore animals, birds, plants and trees. The basis for entertainment in Zandvoort has been there since time immemorial.

Eating out with children

Pancake house Duinrand offers you a lot of different traditional pancakes. You find the pancake house next to the entrance to the dunes on the Zandvoortselaan.
De lachende Zeerover is a pancake house in the centre from the village just across the beach with a real pirate ship and a group of (almost) real pirates. Kraantje Lek is a place in the forest of Overveen, just 10 minutes ride from Zandvoort. Is also a nice cycling trip to Kraantje Lek with children. In the indoor activities hall Beach Factory in Park Zandvoort aan zee, the weather is always fine! Petting zoo and playground

At fifteen minutes drive from Zandvoort you will find Groenendaal, in Heemstede. Groenendaal is a big estate with a beautiful forest. A petting zoo is maintained by a group of young people with minor mental disabilities. A small playground suitable for children is located two hundred meters from the petting zoo. Duinrell in Wassenaar is half an hour drive from Zandvoort. Happykids
